Né au Guatemala, Erick Gonzalez fait des études de communication sociale et commence sa carrière d’artiste visuel en tant que peintre dans son pays. En 1999, il fait son premier voyage en France où il s’installe finalement en 2004.
A la recherche de nouvelles formes d’expression artistique, il expérimente et diversifie ses techniques (sérigraphie, pochoir, transferts, photo, installations) afin de trouver l’harmonie entre le support et le concept.

Il multiplie les expositions entre les deux continents : siège de L’UNESCO à Paris où il représente le Guatemala dans le cadre du “Festival de la Diversité Culturelle”, Conseil de l’Europe, Salon International du groupe Renault, en tant qu’invité d’honneur, The Arts Club of London, exposition organisée par l’Ambassade du Guatemala à Londres, Biennale d’art Paiz, au Guatemala en 2006 et Juannio au Guatemala en 2012 et 2013. Ses oeuvres ont également été présentées en Espagne, en Allemagne et en Norvège. Actuellement, il vit et travaille à Phnom Penh, Cambodge.

Erick Gonzalez was born in Guatemala. He studied social communication and started a visual art career as a painter. In 1999, he traveled for the first time to France and he decided to settle in this country in 2004.
He has been looking for new ways of art expression since his beginnings. He experiments and multiplies his techniques (serigraphy, stencil transfers, photo, installations) to find the harmony between the support and the concept.

Currently, he lives and works in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
